Chas is a British male voiceover artist with a playing age of late teens, 20s and 30s. You'll find Chas to have naturally youthful, warm, approachable and friendly tones, which makes him well suited to a variety of voiceover genres, including commercial, modern corporate, explainer, on hold, and e-learning projects. His native accent is standard British English RP. Chas grew up in the West Country, so can also offer a Bristolian accent. Chas's previous life was as a UK national radio newsreader for Europe's largest commercial radio group. In recent years, his "perfect podcast voice" (as one fan put it) was deployed to host the highly rated English Heritage podcast. As such, he is equally able to take control of serious or academic copy with thoughtfulness and maturity. Chas speaks French and German and is able to take direction in either language. However, without the ability to practise these much, he will happily defer any complex scripts to native or bilingual speakers.
